I’m Sarah Starck, Broker/Owner of Sugar Key Realty, Wisconsin local, real estate problem-solver, professional negotiator, occasional therapist, and firm believer that buying or selling a house doesn’t have to feel like a root canal.

I’ve spent nearly a decade in real estate helping buyers and sellers throughout Eau Claire and the Chippewa Valley navigate everything from first homes and forever homes to country properties, investment opportunities, land, and the occasional “Sarah…what did I just buy?” situation.

After years in the business, I decided it was time to build a brokerage that felt a little more like me: straightforward, approachable, hardworking, and refreshingly real. Sugar Key Realty was born from the idea that great real estate service doesn’t require a fancy sales pitch. It requires experience, communication, creative problem-solving, strong negotiation, and someone who will tell you what you need to hear—not just what you want to hear.

I’m hands-on from beginning to end. I answer my phone. I take my own listing photos. I obsess over marketing. I read the fine print. I ask questions. I solve problems. And when things get complicated—and in real estate, they sometimes do—I’m the person you want standing in your corner.

My approach is simple: no pressure, no fluff, and no disappearing after you sign the paperwork. Whether we’re celebrating a multiple-offer situation or standing in a basement wondering what on earth someone was thinking in 1978, we’re going to figure it out together.

When I’m not working—which, as a broker/owner, is apparently a theoretical concept—you’ll usually find me tackling some kind of project, spending time with my family, or hanging out with my Berne-doodles, Daisy and Joe, who remain completely unimpressed by my real estate accomplishments.

At the end of the day, people don’t need another salesperson. They need someone knowledgeable, honest, responsive, and genuinely invested in getting them where they want to go.
